Tarot Forecast Feb 10th to 16th 2025

Tarot for the Collective

I’m back after the bank holiday break last week. To celebrate Brigid’s Day and Imbolc, my friends and I visited the Hill of Tara and spent the day soaking up its amazing energy. We spent time at the sacred Brigid’s well, sipped on cacao, and after, braved the cold wind at the Rath of Grainne. The Hill of Tara is such a magical place, and it’s become a tradition to celebrate Brigid’s Day there. I have friends visiting me this coming weekend and we’re planning a trip to the passage tombs of Newgrange to soak up even more of Ireland’s prehistoric magick!

The Empress, 2 of Wands, 7 of Wands tarot cards
The Empress, 2 of Wands, 7 of Wands. Deck: Tarot de Carlotydes

Onto the reading, and this week, by request, the theme is problem solving. This is a nifty little 3-card spread for gaining clarity when choices need to be made. It suggests; One Solution, Another Solution, and How to Choose.

Embrace creativity is the first solution offered by The Empress. She sweeps in with an abundance of creative, fertile energy, indicating imagination holds the key to moving forward. The Empress loves sensuality, so connect to all your senses. Get out in nature; breathe in the scents of new growth, the sights of spring waking, and the sounds of the land stirring awake. Nurture your mind and body with pleasurable activities that make you feel good; movement, food, self-care.

Up until now, you may have been too embedded in logical thinking to find a way out of a predicament, so The Empress is a message to soften the approach with a gentler, feminine energy. Another aspect of this beautiful Earth Woman archetype is her ability to shift into Mama Bear mode when challenged. There’s no fiercer warrior than an Empress protecting that which she holds precious, so don’t be afraid to stand up and fight for what you love.

“Creativity is not the finding of a thing, but the making something out of it after it is found.” James Russell Lowell.

We remain with dynamic, creative energy as the glue for problem-solving with the appearance of the 2 of Wands in the Another Solution position. Once again we’re engaging with innovative and expressive thinking. The 2 of Wands is about forward planning. This is where we spend time laying out the foundation for a project or intention. In order to move ahead with all that Empress-powered inspiration stirred up, we must identify and plot the actions required. The 2 of Wands is your game plan. At this early stage, it may not be possible to clearly see every step required to reach the goal, but it’s enough to take the crucial first strides. Harness inspiration. Lay out the path ahead, even if it’s only the first mile or two. The way forward will unfold as you move along.

Embrace the Stubborn!

Another Wand, this time the 7, offers guidance for How to Choose between The Empress and the 2 of Wands. The 7 of Wands is the card of holding ground. When it appears, it typically indicates more challenges, but with a message to hold firm. Although more challenges may want you to walk away, quitting is not the solution. Courage is required with the 7 of Wands, backed by a healthy dose of stubbornness. Fight for what you believe in, is the message here.

Which solution appeals most to you; drawing inspiration from sensual, creative thinking with The Empress, or piecing together a game plan with the 2 of Wands? Whichever your preferred approach to problem-solving, stick to your guns. Pick your path, and don’t let anyone divert you. The 7 of Wands dangles victory, but that win demands perseverance, so pick your solution and stick with it. The Mama Bear mode of The Empress is echoed here. If you don’t stand up and fight for yourself, who will?

The week ahead demands creative thinking, so get your Empress energy on! It won’t be a smooth ride with the 7 of Wands poking at us, but as long as we fight for what we believe in, we’ll walk away with a win. As always, take what resonates, and leave aside what doesn’t!
