Tarot for the Collective
Hello, Friends, and welcome to another Tarot Forecast for the Collective. Tomorrow, I’m flying to London to visit the Tarot: Origins & Afterlives exhibition in the Warburg Institute, and I’m giddy with excitement. The exhibition includes a selection of key moments from Tarot’s long history, explores the origins of the cards’ iconographies, and examines how artists, writers, and mystics have transformed tarot over the decades. Many original artworks are decks are available for viewing, so it’s a tarot nerd’s paradise. We only have a few hours in London, so we’ll be squeezing in as much as we can—including a visit to Watkins Books which houses one of the world’s largest selections of esoteric books and decks. Did I mention how excited I am?
Okay, I’ll focus now, and dive into this week’s reading. With all the global energetic turmoil at the moment, a reading centred on adapting to change feels fitting, so I’m asking: What you can change, What you can’t change, What you can’t see
Three Major Arcana cards indicate significant energies at play this week. To begin, we have Justice, and an image of a woman floating in the wind. To avoid being whipped away by the gusts, she grasps a bundle containing her identity, mistakes, and desires. Justice is the card of Karma in tarot. You reap what you sow, it says, and as suggested by the woman, the ‘bundle’ you hold will either act in your favour, or be your downfall. What you can change right now is what you hold within the bundle. Be mindful of your decisions, weigh all your options, and be aware that the right way to proceed may not be the easier path. If you’ve been acting without integrity, making poor decisions, or behaving unfairly, know that Justice will be served. While there’s still time, you can change the outcome to ensure the gavel comes down in your favour.

The Lovers appear next, and in the What You Can’t Change position, it’s a message about partnership and personal values. A valuable connection, the spirit of harmony, shared values; these are all aspects that you’re not in a position to change right now—and why would you? Partnerships, whether romantic, platonic, or business will form deep connections, and with it, deliver any guidance or support you need at this time. Decision-making is an aspect of this card, too. Just like Justice, the message is to act with integrity, so avoid acting against your ethics. Stay true to yourself, honour your relationships with others and self, and hold precious those connections of harmony and shared values.
Discipline and authority come with The Emperor. He’s a stern leader who sits on a luxurious throne thanks to the dedication and wisdom with which he rules. As a respected leader, he establishes the rules that will serve his kingdom best—even if those rules may sometimes seem stern. Discipline is the order of the day when this card appears. It’s a call for structure and leadership. Cut away distractions, get focused, and what you’re working towards will manifest. With Justice and The Lovers in play, The Emperor also drives home the message of ethical actions. Typically, the figure is portrayed wearing armour beneath his fine cloak, a sign that he is always ready to defend himself and his kingdom—physically, mentally, and morally. Right now, you may not be able to see the value of discipline and respect. Reflect on how these traits will lay a solid, safe foundation for the future for yourself and those you hold dear.
Quite a stern message this week. Get ready for the outcome of the actions you’ve taken, as the truth of the past is about to manifest. Be mindful of your decisions at this time. Weigh all your options, and be aware that the right way to proceed is not always the smoothest path. Be disciplined with your words and deeds. Order is your best friend right now.
