Tomorrow, September 3rd 2024 is a New Moon, a perfect time for fresh starts, reboots, and working on intention setting. If you’re building towards a goal, use the energy to refine your processes and clear out what’s not working.
I read through my collection of three-card spreads today, and not one felt intuitively right, so I guess the cards want to tell their own story for this week’s Tarot for Creatives reading! I’m working with a new deck; Earth Woman tarot by Tarn Ellis. I’m excited to build energy with this deck as I connected so deeply with the imagery the moment I began the first flip through. It’s also a lovely deck to handle. The cards have a tactile matt finish which is a delight to hold. I’ll do a full deck review on the blog in the next week of two, so if you’d like to learn more, keep an eye out!
So, here’s what the Earth Woman wishes us to know for the upcoming week . . .
The creator/manifestor energy of the Magician opens our reading. Everything you need to manifest your wildest dreams, you already possess. The skills, the talent, the creativity; it’s all within you.
The Magician sits on earth, deeply rooted into the grounded, practical energy of creation, but she also reaches to the above, where divine inspiration flows to her. This is a message to connect with intuition. We are of Source, it flows within us, so allow that inspiring energy to flow as you create. Dreams may be especially vibrant at this time, so take note of what your subconscious mind plays at night if possible as messages lie in the images.
The Magician is here to tell assure that everything we need to succeed already exists in our creative toolkits. Look within, not without, and know that you have the power to craft every desire.

Wishes granted is the message of the 9 of Cups, bringing wonderful news of fulfilment and happiness this Monday.
The Magician is now perched on a mushroom, the fruits of her manifestation and creativity in abundance around her. Cups relate to our intuition and emotions, so again, the message is to lean into gut instinct, but also, to be open to pouring your heart into your work this week. Alignment comes with the 9 of Cups. It’s a gentler version of the Magician, but no less powerful, and with both cards appearing, it’s a strong indication of ease with flow, where the opportunities you need appear, almost falling into your lap. Remember to give thanks when they do! Take a moment to perch on your own proverbial mushroom and reflect on the bounty of your 9 cups. Good fortune is always a blessing, but with Magician energy leading the reading this week, it’s a sign of personal power manifesting that abundance.
The mood changes with the arrival of the Emperor. A far more serious energy, this card calls for leadership; the readiness to do whatever it takes to defend the kingdom. When this card pops up, it’s a sign things are about to get serious.
Where the fun, expansive energy of the Magician and 9 of Cups carried us on a wave of creativity, it’s now time to keep an eye on the business side of things. The Emperor sits on his mountain peak, the foundation beneath him solid. He asks us to do the same by shifting into a more sombre mindset. Our creations are magnificent, but how can we ensure they serve us and others? If your creativity pays bills, take a mindful, organised approach to your work. Examine what you’re building upon; the values, morals, intentions. Do you create from a place of integrity?
More order is the overriding message here. If you’re willing to do the hard work, you’ll cement an unshakeable foundation for the future.
Three backdrops of night sky have me thinking we’ll all be experiencing vivid dreams this week! The Magician and the Emperor bring powerful energy, promising noticeable shifts.
