Tarot for Creatives March 14th to 20th 2022

Hello, Creatives!

There’s a Full Moon in Virgo this Friday, March 14th, and with Virgo being an earth sign connected with self-care and wellness, it’s an ideal time to check in on how you’re taking care of yourself. If you set wellness resolutions in the New Year, how are they sticking? Don’t worry if they slipped, you can easily get momentum going again by making one small shift this week. Have a think about what you’d like to release as the Full Moon approaches, and what better practises for self-care you can welcome in. Something as simple as drinking more water, taking a daily 15 minute walk, or blessing your day with a short meditation can make a big impact.

Tarot for Creatives Reading March 14th to 20th 2022
10 of Pentacles, 10 of Wands, King of Swords

This week’s Tarot for Creatives looks at creative blocks, with a spread to offer guidance if you’re currently struggling to find your spark. It asks; What energy is causing creative block, How can I release it, and What am I not seeing?

The stress of financial pressure comes straight to mind with our first card this week. While the 10 of Pentacles represents legacy in the areas of establishment and inheritance, appearing here as the challenging energy of a creative block, it suggests being burdened by financial responsibility where you ‘have’ to create to earn. You might be creating simply to pay bills right now, and the grind has worn you down.

The block can also come from others demanding proof of your success, or asking if your creative endeavours are providing financially, which in itself can thieve the joy of creating. Perhaps it’s you with doubt, fearful that you can’t provide? Money going out and not enough coming in demands an energy of must do over want to do, and for those who rely solely on their creative work to earn, this can be a crushing energy to face. Don’t allow it to eat away at self confidence and self worth; the ten is a card of completion, indicating this struggle is almost over.

"Keep your eyes on the finish line, and not the turmoil around you." - Rihanna

and also . . .

"The last mile is always the longest." - My little bro.

The 10 of Wands, the card of toil, brings a solution. While not the most cheerful card to look at, it brings a fairly simple, but snippy message of ‘put your head down and work.’ It suggests that what you’re working on now may not be inspiring you in any way, but that you need to persevere and simply get the job done. The good news is that with tens representing completion, take courage in knowing that you’re nearly there. My brother (wise soul that he is) always says ‘The last mile is the longest’, and whenever I see the 10 of Wands, that sentiment echoes. Don’t give up. The work you’re doing might be uninspiring right now, but push through and you’ll get there.

Paw-don me, but I have a fe-line you need financial advice.

The King of Swords represents what you’re not seeing. Clear thinking and intellect are the keywords here, with a message to remove emotion from your situation and come at it with a more level-headed approach. Take a stern approach to your situation. Communicate issues with those who can assist, and if necessary, take advice from a professional. The theme of ‘expert’ rings loudly here, so reach out for guidance to get the best advice possible. As a wise ruler, the King has vast experience under his belt, so bear this in mind as you work through this challenge. While the cause behind your creative block may be an unpleasant one, there’s a lesson to be learned, one which can assist you in the future.

Have a great week, creative souls! Soak up that lovely Full Moon energy and schedule a little self-care; you’re worth it!

Before I go . . .

Miss Maia likes to spend her day snoozing where I work, but she left her bed to investigate today's photo shoot. With her curiosity too cute to ignore, here's a couple of behind the scenes snaps.
