Hello, Creatives!
Welcome, December! The Winter Solstice nears, and with it, the wheel turns to slowly lengthen our days once again. I braved icy winds to walk on the beach this morning. Wrapped up in layers, with a hat and gloves on, I found myself thinking I’d imagined my walks during the summer, where a kilometre in, I’m already hot and bothered. I don’t think I’ve walked my 6km as fast as I did this morning, and I was still cold when I jumped back into the car. Bring on the warmer days!
I’m feeling rebellious today, so I’m going rogue and reading without specific questions. Be open to where your intuition directs the messages.
Swords lead the way this week, indicating themes of communication and logical thinking, however, with the 7 of Swords, it’s more manipulative thinking than smart. An unfair advantage is the message behind this card, warning of either someone taking advantage of you, or you contemplating sneaky tactics to gain a win. There’ll be no winner. With this card, it’s about staying alert and watching those around you carefully. Pay attention to the details this week, especially in instances where you may be signing something, and therefore placing responsibility upon yourself. Diligence is important. If someone’s looking to get ahead, they’ll be clever about it, so stay sharp.
“Retreat is a reminder that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is to simply pause and breathe.” Unknown
The 4 of Swords calls for a time out. Events may demand you withdraw from the battlefield and take a moment to rest, recuperate, and regroup. Depending on the outcome of the 7 of Swords, it may be to lick your wounds, or plan new tactics. Either way, a withdrawal is important. The break will give you time to gain a clearer picture of the field, and what steps you can take to keep moving forward. A challenge lies ahead. Ensure you’re rested and ready to step up for what awaits.
The Ace of Pentacles brings a new beginning centred around business and/or finances. Be open to opportunity this week. It may call for an investment from you; time, money, or skill, but it’s worth examining. Keep the sneaky 7 of Swords in mind, however. Once again, diligence is important. If the offer sounds too good to be true, then it is. A thorough examination of what’s on offer will allow you to see all aspects, the potentially bad, and good.
Overall, the message for the week ahead is to stay alert. If you feel you’re banging your head against a brick wall, pull back and recalibrate. With the incoming Ace of Pentacles opportunity, you’ll need your wits about you! Hmm. Perhaps we need to watch out for those online holiday offers promising huge discounts!!
